The Horace Tureman Legacy Society

Ensuring Colorado Symphony's Long-Term Success

The Horace Tureman Legacy Society was established to recognize an exceptional group of individuals who have pledged future support for Colorado Symphony through their wills or other planned gifts.

Horace Elder Tureman was conductor of Denver's Civic Symphony Orchestra, which later became the Denver Symphony Orchestra—the predecessor of the Colorado Symphony. Tureman, who had studied with Debussy, led the orchestra from 1922 to 1944, playing a formative role in establishing the vibrant cultural scene present today across Colorado. Members of the Horace Tureman Society receive special recognition and the opportunity to become involved in the ongoing life of Colorado Symphony through special events.
